Bucolic is the project of multi-instrumentalist Seth Carpenter, from Pitman, New Jersey. Since 2015, Seth has been releasing wistful, hazy singles with an inimitable lo-fi charm. Drawing upon a vast range of influences - including Mineral, The Books, Why?, and Animal Collective, Seth creates in Bucolic something simultaneously reserved and exposed. Soaring vocals and stripped back guitars make up Bucolic’s foundations, the end result being produced to exude a warm, homely fuzz.

Dadbeat Tracks is proud to announce the release of Old Castle, a collection of some of Seth’s best tracks prior to the release of his debut album, Rope’s Wing. Nature and reflection upon youth have featured heavily in previous Bucolic releases; Old Castle is an attempt to capture that effortless, sublime aesthetic, whilst also bringing a new sense of cohesion to Seth’s past work.
